Mirror Mirror

Jerry got a new toy today.  He loves to look in the mirror so I bought him his own.  He's really strong and was hitting it pretty hard.  He is starting to grab and hold onto things now.  He will grab at my face when I talk to him and am close to him.  And he is starting to grab my hair which is not good.  When I am getting ready and he wants to be with me I'll put him in his bumbo on the floor in front of the long bathroom mirror and he can watch me through it.  He usually stays content the whole time which is very helpful to me.

Blue Eyed Boy

Just look at those blue eyes.  

They keep getting lighter and lighter just like his daddy's.

Bambi

Looking outside into our backyard.  There are usually 4 deer that run together.  We haven't seen the turkeys this month.  They must know turkey day is coming up.

Hair Loss

Jerry is starting to lose his hair:(

I refuse to cut it and so now he is looking like he will have a mullet/skullet - this should make his daddy proud!

Jerry's favorite thing to do is play with his hands and eat them.

Bouncer

I thought we would try Jerry out in his bouncer again since he loves to kick so much and I needed him to be entertained so I could get some housework done.  He is still a bit to little as his arms can't reach any of the toys to play with but he still bounced a few times in it.   Unfortunately he didn't want to be in it very long so I ended up putting it back in the basement since it's such a big toy. 

Back to Grandpa and Grandma Kalma's

This weekend we made another trip to Holly so Jake could go hunting and we could visit with the family.  Jerry had a good time with his Grandpa and Grandma.  Aunt Jenna came down to see him and this time he got to meet his cousins Caleb and Cooper and newest cousin Ryan.

Jerry is slowly figuring out how to laugh.  Grandma Kalma really got him on a role laughing.  It was so fun to watch him.  He has a few different sounding giggles.  I have tried and tried to get him to do it again since we've been home and he hasn't done it.  Not sure what the trick is.

Jerry didn't do so good this time on the ride down to Holly.  He was tired but wanted to be held.  It made it a long trip down there.  He did a little better coming back other than waking up with his scared cry at one point.  He must have been so worn out from all the fun because on Monday he took a 3 hour nap in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon then was asleep again by 7.

Reaching Out

Since Jerry found his hands now he is reaching out at things in front of him.  He loved this toy and played there and talked to the animals for a long time.  It was so cute.

At 12 weeks Jerry giggled for us.  I think it surprised him and he's not sure how to really do it so we don't hear it that often.  Hopefully he'll start doing it more and more.  Also, he found his tongue so now he sometimes sticks it out when he smiles.  It's amazing to see him growing and learning new things.

Tummy Time

Sleepy

Jerry doesn't take very long naps anymore.  He fell asleep in my arms and I put him in his swing to see if he would sleep awhile there.  Only for about 5 minutes.  Actually, lately he has been doing better at napping so I wonder if he is growing more.  We will weigh and measure him and let you know.

Praying

At about 10 weeks Jerry found his hands.  He now always holds them together like this or tries to eat them.  He looks like he is saying a prayer in this picture.

Kicking

So we are up because I had Jerry in bed with me.  I know I shouldn't have him there but he did start out in his playard.  Anyway, this kid is such a kicker.  I finally just had to pick him up and walk with him to settle him down.  There won't be much more of sleeping with mom and dad because I'll be waking up with bruises.  I always said he kicked a lot when he was in my tummy.  He will be an awesome soccer player.  He fell right back to sleep and isn't moving a bit. 

Anyway, off to my bed and Jerry to his.  I will put new pictures up soon.  I know the grandparents are wondering where they are:)  He has his 3 month pictures on Thursday...3 months already.  He is growing way too fast!

Trick or Treat

Jerry's First Halloween.

Grandma Holdren bought Jerry this outfit that says mummy luvs me when she was here.  We thought for sure a 0-3 month would fit him (it looked so big) but he has really outgrown it.  He still looks cute though.

Baby it's cold outside!

Isn't he cute!  We're going through his closet and finding all of the warm clothes that he can wear since it is getting colder.  He has outgrown all of his newborn (0-3 month) clothes and is wearing 3-6 month.
