4th of July

This 4th of July was spent with good friends and lots and lots of fireworks.

Jerry loved them.  This is a father/son holiday for sure.
Jerry was by Dads side the entire night.  He even lit some fireworks.

Summertime

We've been keeping busy this summer with...
playing at the park,
swimming and taking lessons,
playing in the water fountains,
playing with friends,
going to the farmer's market,
eating lots of ice cream,
and soaking up the warm sunshine.
Jerry drew this picture of Daddy (with a big head), Jerry and Mommy.

Family Time

These pictures were taken at Easter.

Jerry loves going to the Nursing Home to play BINGO with Great Grandma Mickey.
She always goes home with bananas and Jerry takes home the sweets.
He thought it was pretty cool that he got to push her in the wheel chair.

Easter and a Birthday Party

I know that I have been really bad about updating the blog.  Honestly and sadly, I think I have been really bad about taking pictures too.  I need to improve on both of these things.
So to catch up a little...
We spent Easter this year in Holly with lots of family.  Jerry got to find Easter eggs with all of his 1st cousins.  It was very special and we had lots of fun.

In March Jerry's friends had a birthday party and a fun gymnasium.
He had a blast and really wore himself out.

More Fun in the Water

It was a little windy in the video so you may want to turn down the sound on this one.

We've been spending a lot of time playing in the water this summer.
Jerry is taking swimming lessons and getting better and more confident in the water.

Spelling and Reading

Learning to spell words using Bananagrams.  Now he helps me read some of our bedtime stories.
I can't wait till he starts reading to me at night.

More Christmas

Opening presents on Christmas Eve.

Hmm...

Opening presents Christmas day.

Ruben got a new stocking and didn't like it.

It was a white Christmas in Holly.  We had so much fun playing in the snow.

Family at Christmas

This Christmas was spent with lots of family in Holly.
Jake's parents were staying with Amber for Christmas and my brother, Briana and Ruben came down.

Jerry has so much fun playing with his cousin Ruben.

Grandma really enjoyed her boys too.

Ruben playing with one of his 2nd cousins.
I think we figured out that Jerry has 36 second cousins and 2 first cousins.

Jerry and Ruben with their second cousins, Caleb and Cooper.

Christmas

Make a video - it's fun, easy and free!

When Jerry saw Santa a few weeks before Christmas he asked for a blue car that he could drive.
This was the first thing Jerry said Christmas morning.
Santa made this little boy very happy.

No More Training Wheels

It only took one try and he got it.
I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Pumpkin Patch Videos

They had a huge canon that they were shooting pumpkins out of.  It was fun to watch.
And I don't think Jerry liked riding this bouncy horse.  He couldn't figure it out but gave it a good try.

Pumpkin Patch Round Two

The weekend after we went to the first pumpkin patch we decided to visit another one.  The weather was beautiful so it was perfect to be outside.  They had so much to do and I think Jerry had a great time.

He's getting so big.  It made me nervous when he first climbed up this rope but he did it with no problem and went a few times.  They also had a corn box (same as a sand box but with corn not sand) in this barn and Jerry loved playing in it.

I wanted Jacob to try to get a picture of me and Jerry.
There's a couple that aren't bad but Jerry just wasn't into it.
As we were driving home Jerry told us that we really wore him out.

I have a couple of videos that will be posted next of our trip.

He loves his books

I found him napping like this.

Pumpkin Patch

We took a trip to the pumpkin patch today since Daddy had the day off.
It was a little chilly and very windy but still lots of fun.

Jerry got to shoot some pumpkins out of the air gun and throw some small pumpkins with the sling shot.  Then we came to the canon and he didn't want to do it so I got to push the button on it.  It shot that pumpkin crazy far.  We thought it was going to hit the kids picking pumpkins from the field, but it didn't.

Jerry jumped on the bouncy, went down the big slide and did the zip line with some help.

His favorite was the sandbox.  They had these diggers that he had so much fun playing with.  We came back to the sandbox a few times.  We were trying to get him to move on to see the animals and he told us that we could just go because he could see us from where he was at.
He rode the train and led the way through the corn maze.

Then we finally made it to the pumpkin patch and Jerry picked out the perfect pumpkin.
We got a ride back on the trailer pulled by the tractor.  Daddy had fun:)

And we did manage to get him away from the sandbox to feed the animals.
