Jerry's first airplane ride.

We flew to Seattle to see Grandma and Grandma for the 4th of July and to be with Great Gran on her birthday.  We left last Thursday and got back on Tuesday.  Jerry did really good on the airplane.  He slept most of the time and only got fussy the last 20 minutes of the flight from Denver to Seattle and back.  He was just tired of having to stay in one place.

We met Uncle Josh and Aunt Amber in Denver on Thursday and they flew with us to Seattle.  No one knew that they were coming but us.  When we got to the airport they hid while we met up with Grandma and Grandpa.  Jerry was really tired and wasn't wanting anyone but me at first.  He was asleep as soon as his head hit the carseat.  When we got to the house he started to really butter up to Grandma.  He is definitely a Grandma's boy.

Jake left to pick up Amber and Josh and when they pulled in the drive way J.D. and Susan and Gran went to see who it was and were really surprised.  It was great.  April and Ryan came over that night to see what the Big surprise was.  It was really nice having everyone together.

Poor Jake got sick Friday and was sick the rest of the trip.  He has a sinus infection / sore throat and is still fighting it.  We still got to spend lots of good time with the family though; playing games, eating great food, talking and watching movies.  It was so nice to just relax and visit with everyone.  Jerry was the center of attention most of the time.  He loves to show off and pose for the camera.

Great Gran had a fun birthday with lots of family.  I made my first Texas sheet cake with the help of Susan and it was delicious (if I do say so myself). Thanks for the recipe!

Jake and Ryan bought lots of fireworks and put on a good show for everyone.  Jerry had to stay up late to get to see any of them and didn't like the noise so Grandma took him inside to watch from the window but as soon as she started to rock him he was asleep in her lap (his favorite place).

Jerry loved playing with his Grandpa and his cousin Ryan.  They will all be great buddies.  He loved chasing Ali (the dog) around and I think Ali was interested in Jerry but knew better than getting too close.

Of course the trip goes by way too fast.  We always wish we or they lived closer.  We had a lot of fun and hope we get to see everyone again soon.
