Our weekend got off to a great start. Jacob's friend, Kasey Jenkinson and his family were in town this weekend and we got to spend Saturday with them at the amusement park. Kasey has two boys, Jack who turned 5 this weekend and Jace who turned 1 in April. Jerry loved playing with the boys but he wasn't too sure about any of the rides at the park. I actually had to ride several of them with him just to get him on them. Daddy took him on the go-carts and all Jerry would say is slower, slower and his friend Jack would tell his daddy to go faster. After we did the rides we played the games and Jerry and Jacob liked driving all of the cars. With all of the tickets he won he got two dinosaurs and a ball and as you can see he wasn't going to let them go.
We also got to go swimming with Kasey's family at the Hyatt. Jerry and Jack had a blast. Kasey gave the boys tubes to float on they both were doggy paddling by themselves.
On Sunday we stayed at the house and our neighbor's, Cal & Dee had their family from out of town staying with them. Their son has 2 boys ages 2 and 5 and a girl age 7 that Jerry got to play with. They ran through the sprinklers, played games and played in the sandbox. Jerry was very sad to see them go. He kept asking where the kids were.
The wind decided to blow hard on Monday so we decided to take Jerry and his friend Jackson to the movie, Kung Fu Panda 2. It was a cute movie but Jerry still doesn't do well just sitting through a movie. I think we went to the bathroom 4 times.
Oh, Jerry got a new haircut too. I thought Cal's grandsons were too cute and they both had buzz cuts which looked great on them so I thought it would look cute on Jerry. We got out the clippers and had him standing in the tub and just buzzed away. He wasn't too thrilled with the experience and overall I think we decided we would let it grow back out. We think he looks more ornery with the buzz cut and he definitely doesn't need that.
